Welcome.
On April 10, 2025, we opened our Italian-American restaurant, Motorworld Inn, in the former North Machine Hall of Shaft 7 at the Ewald Coal Mine in Herten. Here, guests sit on four staggered levels next to the historic hoisting machine or the machine operator’s control station.
A gigantic 22-meter-high interior, a sun-drenched winter garden with adjoining terrace and our rooftop bar with 130 seats high above the Ewald colliery are an absolute highlight for the entire region and beyond.
We spoil you every day, including Sundays and public holidays, from 9.00 a.m. with our large breakfast buffet. From 12.00 noon, our kitchen really gets going with fresh, delicious pasta, our very best Neapolitan pizza and burgers to die for!
The atmosphere is both impressive and cozy. It’s simply a lot of fun to celebrate a carefree, old-fashioned way of life in this setting. Come on by and bring your friends!

The menu is as American as a Ford Mustang, as Italian as an Alfa Spider and as German as a Porsche 911. Look forward to the best pizza from the stone oven, pasta, burgers and real regional food classics.
Sometimes traditional, sometimes something new, but always freshly prepared. Since good cooking is much easier with good products, we select all the ingredients with great care. Wherever possible we source them from the local region. Incidentally, we also know that delicious food can be vegetarian or vegan as well.

The informal ambience offers ideal conditions. The food and drinks can be tailored to your wishes and separate from the regular menu to perfectly accentuate your event.
